​선생님 소개

Ashley Teacher has been teaching English in Korea since November 2013. She gained experience at various hagwons before opening Cat and Chat in June 2023. During her years at university, she studied abroad in England and Australia, and also completed an internship in South Africa, gathering experience from around the world. She enjoyed teaching students in Korea and desired to open a center which would give her more time to speak with students one-on-one and help them gain confidence not only with reading, but speaking as well. With the help of Moses, she has been happily guiding the students of Pyeongchon in their English learning journey, in the hopes that they may be able to work, study, and live abroad one day as well.

​에슐리 선생님은 미국인으로 2013년부터 한국에서 영어를 가르치고 있습니다. 2023년 평촌에서 교습소를 운영하기 전에는 영국, 호주에서 공부하였으며 남아공에서 인턴 경험이 있고 그밖에 많은 나라에서 경험이 있습니다. 선생님은 한국에서 학생들을 가르치는것을 좋아하며 학생들이 영어에 대한 자신감을 얻는 것을 목표로 합니다. 페르시안 고양이와 함께 아이들을 가르치고 있으며 학생들이 넓은 해외에서 공부하고 일하고 살아가는 것을 희망합니다.

Bachelor's Degree in Global Media at Arcadia University

Aug 2009 - May 2013

Ashley majored in Global Media at Arcadia University, with a minor in Spanish. In her senior year, she did an internship where she taught video production to high school students. Through that experience she realized that she enjoyed being a teacher and decided to pursue teaching further.

ILS, CLS, Maple Bear

November 2013- June 2023

Ashley taught in various hagwons all around Korea, from Geoje, to Yeoui-do, Jamsil, and Pyeongchon over the past 12 years.
